So how do you get to the secret treehouse on the East Coast Trail? The treehouse is on the Beaches Cove Path near the beginning of this hiking trail starting at Mobile Bay Beach.
Begin by following the coastline north along Mobile Beach (so go left if you’re facing the ocean) and soon the rocky beach will start to wind along some marked traditional trails that will take you along a short section of Ambrose Carey Road past a few houses before the trail disappears into the woods.
If you keep following this path for 7 kilometers you will end up at Ragged Beach in the community of Witless Bay, just past the Witless Bay Islands Park Reserve.
The hike from Mobile Beach to Witless Bay along the Beaches Path East Coast Trail Hike is rated as easy and takes about 3 hours to complete if you’re taking your time but to see the secret treehouse on the east coast trail you don’t need to go very far from the hiking trailhead in Mobile. Once you enter the forest-covered wooded section at the end of Ambrose Carey Road, you’re almost at the secret treehouse.

Just off the coastal trails are traditional meadows and grassy nolls ideal for picture-perfect Instagram moments. Wildlife is generally abundant in this area, with moose frequenting the forest paths. Marine mammals are common and sea otters can be spotted wandering the coastal forests and intertidal regions.
Seals pop their head out of the water to get a better look at hikers as they walk by wondering if they’re thinking about the same.
